India's pace bowler Ashish Nehra has been ruled out of today's World Cup opener against Bangladesh due to a back injury, it is learnt. Munaf Patel could take his place.

In the spin department, Piyush Chawla got the nod ahead of offie R Ashwin and would make his WC debut. The spinner was a surprise inclusion in the 15-man squad, but became a front runner for the second spinner's spot after a good show in the warm-ups.
