PCB imposes ban on Haider Ali over UK rape investigation

According to Dawn, Haider was a part of the Pakistan Shaheens squad that toured England to play two three-day matches and three ODIs from July 17 to August 6. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has suspended cricketer Haider Ali and placed him under criminal investigation by UK police, likely in connection with a rape case, reported Reuters.

According to the report, citing Greater Manchester Police, said in an email: "After receiving a report on Monday 4 August 2025 of a rape, we have arrested a 24-year-old man. The man has since been bailed pending further enquiries. The victim is being supported by officers".

According to Dawn, Haider was a part of the Pakistan Shaheens squad that toured England to play two three-day matches and three ODIs from July 17 to August 6.
