The Delhi cricketer had a fabulous IPL 2020 and 2021 season as he was the second-highest and top run-scorer in the tournaments respectively. The IPL 2021 edition had to be postponed due to emerging coronavirus cases in the league. However, the cash-rich tournament is set to resume in September.

Shikhar Dhawan will captain Team India on the limited-overs tour of Sri Lanka for three ODIs and as many Twenty20 internationals from July 13 to 25.
