Thunders restricted Warriors to 114-9 thanks to Kazi’s 4-33. In reply, Thunders chased the target with three balls to spare.  Earlier, opting to bat, the Warriors had a shaky start, losing three wickets in the first five overs for just 26 runs—two of which were picked by pacer Palak Dharmsi (2-20)

Riding on off-spinner Humairaa Kazi’s four-wicket haul, Mumbai Thunders beat Mumbai Warriors by five wickets in a thrilling final encounter to win the T20 President Cup at the Wankhede Stadium on Friday.


Vrushali Bhagat (41 off 41) and Humairaa Kazi (29 off 25) were the top-scorers for the Thunders.


Thunders restricted Warriors to 114-9 thanks to Kazi’s 4-33. In reply, Thunders chased the target with three balls to spare.  Earlier, opting to bat, the Warriors had a shaky start, losing three wickets in the first five overs for just 26 runs—two of which were picked by pacer Palak Dharmsi (2-20).
