Cheteshwar Pujara's father tells MiD DAY that his son's religious nature has helped in his comeback
Cheteshwar Pujara did a star turn once again, playing a captain’s innings to help India ‘A’ beat West Indies ‘A’ by two wickets for a 1-0 lead in the first of the three ‘Tests’ at Barbados yesterday.
The 323-minute knock of 96 not out may have made 24-year-old Pujara the hero of the match, but a year ago, his career was in jeopardy after a ligament tear on his right knee. He suffered the injury during Indian Premier League-IV and was ruled out for six months.
