"I hope that I can help put an end to Barcelona's hegemony and make Real Madrid the team that starts winning all the trophies." "I have signed a long contract, for six seasons and I hope to be able to make history with Real Madrid. "They are one of the best clubs in the world and have a plan that will let me play alongside some of the best players that there are. That was one of the reasons I chose to join. "[Perez] has a plan to build a new sporting project and is trying to buy the best players in the world. I think it will be an attacking squad and that is why I chose this club." Kaka admitted that he had the chance to move to the Santiago Bernabeu before, but chose to stay with Milan because of his coach. "Now the situation is different. I definitely had the chance to do it in previous seasons, but (Carlo) Ancelotti wanted me and had faith in me," he continued. "But joining Real Madrid is a good time to do it." Despite being stunned by losing their coach and star player already this summer, Milan will recover and should challenge for the title next term, Kaka believes.
