Famously known as the Haryana Hurricane, Kapil Dev is the greatest fast-bowling all-rounder India has ever produced. He will always be remembered for his aggressive batting and out swingers, for leading the Indian team to a World Cup victory in 1983.

Kapil Dev was awarded as “Indian Cricketer of the Century” in the year 2002. He has also been honoured with Arjuna Award and Padma Bhushan awards by Indian Government.
Today, on his birthday Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and BCCI took to social media to wish him. Sachin shared an old picture of him posing with Kapil Dev and wrote, "A ten-year-old boy saw Kapil Dev lifting the 1983 World Cup and started dreaming of winning another one for India.
