Former Indian cricketer Sanjay Bangar believes star batter Shubman Gill can overhaul Rohit Sharma`s record of most runs in a single ODI innings. Rohit had smashed a mind-blowing 264 against Sri Lanka in 2014, and to date, that remains the highest individual ODI score. 

However, speaking on `The Great Indian Cricket Show` on Doordarshan, Sanjay Bangar explained why he felt Shubman Gill had the ability to go past Rohit Sharma`s garangutan score. He shed light on how Gill already has a double hundred to his name, which came against New Zealand in Hyderabad. He also has the ability to bat for long periods and if he manages to do that again, Bangar has full faith that Gill will go past Rohit Sharma`s 264.
