India cricketer and Delhi Capitals opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan received his first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine on Thursday. DC's Dhawan also urged his fans and followers to get vaccinated in order to 'defeat' the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Shikhar Dhawan, who is an active cricketer on social media, also went on to share a photo of him getting the Covid-19 vaccine on his Twitter handle. In his post, Dhawan thanked the 'frontline warriors' who have helped the nation during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Dhawan wrote, "Vaccinated ✅ Can’t thank all our frontline warriors enough for their sacrifices and dedication. Please do not hesitate and get yourself vaccinated as soon as possible.
