Former India captain <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/hopefully-hell-recover-soon-and-be-back-on-the-path-ganguly-on-pant-23263730" target="_blank" rel="none noopener">Sourav Ganguly</a> was all praise for India&rsquo;s one-drop <a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/india-vs-srilanka-virat-kohli-smashes-45th-odi-century-equals-sachin-tendulkars-record-23264839" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Virat Kohli</a> after his scintillating 113 helped beat Sri Lanka by 67 runs in the first ODI at Guwahati.&nbsp;
&ldquo;I am very happy with the way he [Virat] compiled his century. It was a superb effort. It is just good to see the glow back on Virat&rsquo;s face,&rdquo; Ganguly told mid-day.
Ganguly, 50, expressed disappointment at India&rsquo;s spearhead<a href="https://www.mid-day.com/sports/cricket/article/jasprit-bumrah-ruled-out-of-odi-series-against-sri-lanka-after-failing-to-recover-from-back-injury-23264586" target="_blank" rel="none noopener"> Jasprit Bumrah</a> not being able to recover from injury but calls for being patient with a player of such pedigree.&nbsp;
