In the Super 8 match of the T20 World Cup 2026 against the West Indies, Team India skipper Suryakumar Yadav has won the toss and elected to bowl first at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

After winning the toss, Team India skipper Suryakumar said, "We will bowl first because the surface looks good and Eden Gardens usually gets even better for chasing with a bit of dew expected later. The crowd is already lively for what feels like a virtual quarter-final against the West Indies, and we hope to put on a strong show for them. There is always some pressure in games like this but that is what makes it enjoyable, and the mood in the dressing room is positive after ticking many boxes in the last match. We believe we have prepared well, and the boys are ready for another tight contest. We are going in with the same combination tonight".
