Although he has gone on to deny the allegations, insisting that there was a miscommunication between him and Mancini, Tevez was subsequently banned for two weeks and on Tuesday was found guilty of five breaches of his contract, which saw him fined four weeks' wages. Tevez to sue Mancini? Reports in the media have suggested that Tevez has considered suing Mancini for defamation due to his comments after the Bayern match, with McCarthy saying that at this moment anything was still possible. "He has been hurt by the insinuation that he refused to play when Manchester City's charges are refusal to resume to warming up," he told Sky Sports News. "So that is where there is conflict, if there is any conflict at the moment ufffd he feels his reputation has been damaged by that."It is now time to take absolute stock of the situation. It has been a very difficult time for Carlos and Manchester City. There will be no rash decision but all options are still open to Carlos." Press reports have suggested that Tevez refused to play for City due to a refusal to pay him loyalty bonuses worth approximately ufffd6 million, but McCarthy was quick to deny that this was the case. "Carlos really wants to defend as strongly as possible that this was some sort of premeditated action, because of loss of loyalty earnings, bonuses," he said.
