England captain Ben Stokes has not fully recovered from the shoulder injury that he sustained during the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. The five-match Ashes series between England and Australia will kick off on November 21. The series is also a part of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship cycle

Ahead of the much-anticipated Ashes series against arch-rivals Australia, England announced its squad for the contest on Tuesday.
Ben Stokes has been appointed as the skipper of the "Three Lions" for the series. The right-hander has still not fully recovered from the shoulder injury that he sustained during the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. Following the injury, he was ruled out of the fifth Test match against Team India.
