There is no need to educate Indian umpires, says BCCI
Former Indian cricket board secretary Niranjan Shah, who is chairman of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) umpire’s sub-committee, felt there is no need for the Board to talk to their umpires about the possibility of them being lured into indulging in sinister activities.
Cricket has been hit by a sting operation conducted by an Indian television channel that showed umpires from Pakistan and Sri Lanka being open to fixing matches for cash in the just-concluded World Twenty20 event in the Emerald Isles and the Sri Lanka Premier League.
