Sachin Tendulkar did not turn up for the press briefing after scoring a century for Mumbai yesterday in the Irani Cup tie against Rest of India at the Wankhede.
Ideally, the performer of the day is made available to the media at the end of the day’s play. On Day One, RoI’s Murali Vijay did so after scoring a fine century.
There was no particular reason from the Mumbai team management for Tendulkar’s no-show. He didn’t take the field after Mumbai were bowled out with over 15 minutes of play remaining either. Tendulkar last spoke to the media after Mumbai won its 40th Ranji Trophy title at the same venue a couple of weeks ago, but didn’t take any questions.u00a0
