Rajkot: Riding on a splendid century by Kedar Devdhar and a quality bowling effort led by Irfan Pathan, Baroda on Thursday defeated a formidable Mumbai by 44 runs in the opening tie of the West Zone leg of Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Baroda amassed 346 runs losing only three wickets off their stipulated 50 overs and then restricted Mumbai at 302 at the Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Ground here.
