India and Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli and his actress wife Anushka Sharma recently announced their campaign in order to raise funds to tackle the Covid-19 pandemic.

The RCB star and the 'Zero' film actress informed their fans about their concern about the ongoing pandemic as well as their intentions to help in Covid-19 relief work as the couple has joined hands with a crowdfunding website in order to see their intentions come to fruition.

In a video on Instagram, Virat Kohli wrote, "Since the Covid-19 outbreak, our country is going through trying times, our health systems are being challenged, we need to come together and help our India. Anushka and I have started a campaign on Ketto, to raise funds for Covid-19 relief, and we would be grateful for your support. No amount is too small to save lives. We will do everything we can to make a difference, but we need your help to fight this. I urge you all to join our movement. Let’s do our part to keep our country safe and strong. Thank you. Kohli led the Royal Challengers Bangalore team at the IPL 2021 edition which was indefinitely postponed following a few coronavirus cases within the league's personnel. Players and staff from IPL franchises Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad tested positive earlier this week, which prompted the BCCI to suspend the IPL 2021 season until further notice.

Virat Kohli's RCB seemed to be having yet another successful season as they were placed well at the third spot on the IPL points table behind Delhi Capitals and Chennai Super Kings.
