Though the Top Four for the play-offs were finally decided with the Deccan Chargers comprehensively beating Kings XI Punjab earlier on Saturday, Kolkata Knight Riders will now battle for the second spot when they take on Mumbai Indians at Eden Gardens in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match today. Deccan's victory secured play-off berths for KKR and MI.

KKR's coach Dav Whatmore said the battle will be for the top two spots. "It will be a fight for the top two spots tomorrow," Whatmore said after rain washed out their practice session. "We cannot take anything lightly even now as Mumbai Indians too will be keen to take the second spot. We are aware that they will come hard at us," Whatmore added.

Taking about the road ahead, Whatmore said: "Our first aim was to qualify for the play-offs. Now that it is secured, we will go all the way."
