England`s speedster Mark Wood on Tuesday said that making wise use of short-pitched balls against Rohit Sharma will be in his and his team`s plan ahead of the five-match test series against England.

The first Test is scheduled to begin here on Thursday, and Wood said the nature of pitches, even if slow, could abet the strategy. Team India will play the first two test matches in the absence of their star batsman Virat Kohli. He has withdrawn from the first two tests due to personal reasons.
