With star Chinese centre Yao Ming out due to injury, Asian basketball teams are itching at the chance to knock off hosts and perennial powerhouse China at this week's Asian Basketball Championships.
With NBA All-Star Yao unable to play, China will have to depend on New Jersey Nets forward Yi Jianlian and former Dallas Maverick Wang Zhizhi at the championships that run from August 6-16 in the northern city of Tianjin.
