Earlier this year, Harmanpreet Kaur created history as she surpassed Rohit Sharma to achieve the feat of playing the most number of T20I matches across Men’s and Women’s cricket.
In the match against Ireland during the Women’s T20 World Cup in February 2023, she made her 150th T20I appearance, becoming the only player to feature in 150 T20I matches.
In the same match, she also became the first Indian woman and fourth overall to score 3000 T20I runs.
Harmanpreet has played the second-highest number of T2O Internationals (97) as a captain in women’s cricket. She is only behind Australia’s Meg Lanning.
In the 2017 Women’s T20 World Cup, Harmanpreet Kaur registered the highest individual score by an Indian batter and the fifth highest overall in ICC Women’s World Cup. She scored 171* off 115 balls against Australia.
