India's star spinner Ravichandran Ashwin will be eyeing these unique records in the ongoing five-match test series against England
Featuring 95 test matches, Ravichandran Ashwin has registered 492 wickets to his name in the longest format of the game. Anil Kumble is the only Indian bowler to achieve the milestone of reaching 500 test wickets. If Ashwin manages to pick the remaining eight wickets then he will be the only second Indian to achieve this feat
The veteran spinner is also six wickets away from becoming India's leading wicket-taker in test cricket against England. Currently, he has 90 test wickets against England
Ashwin also has the golden opportunity to become the only second bowler to complete 100 wickets in the India-England tests. Star pacer James Anderson is the only bowler on the list with 139 wickets
He is also 11 wickets shy from completing 350 test wickets on home soil. The Tamil Nadu-born cricketer currently has 339 test wickets in India
