Nicholas Pooran, born in Trinidad and Tobago on October 2, 1995, is a professional cricketer for the West Indies team.

At age 16, Nicholas Pooran made his U-19 cricket debut for West Indies in 2012.

At the 2014 U-19 World Cup, Nicholas Pooran was the vice-captain and main wicket-keeper for Windies. He scored 303 runs in 6 matches, the fourth-highest overall.

Nicholas Pooran began dating his childhood friend Kathrina Miguel.

Nicholas Pooran made his ODI debut for West Indies on February 20, 2019 against Sri Lanka.

Nicholas Pooran has since played 25 ODIs and scored 932 runs at a healthy average of 49.05. He has 1 hundred and 7 fifties with a top score of 118.

Nicholas Pooran made his T20I debut for West Indies September 23, 2016 against Pakistan.

Nicholas Pooran has since played a total of 20 T20Is and posted 353 runs averaging at 23.53. Pooran has 2 fifties with a top score of 58.

In February 2017, Nicholas Pooran was purchased by Mumbai Indians for Rs 30 lakh.

At the  2018–19 Bangladesh Premier League, Nicholas Pooran was the leading run-scorer for his team Sylhet Sixers - 379 runs in 11 matches.

In December 2018, Nicholas Pooran was purchased by Kings XI Punjab for Rs 4.2 crore.

Nicholas Pooran has played 10 IPL matches scoring 210 runs at an average of Nicholas Pooran and stellar strike rate of 154.41. His top score is 48.

In November 2019, Nicholas Pooran received a four-match ban after he was found guilty and admitted to the charge of ball tampering during the series vs Afghanistan.

In August 2020, Nicholas Pooran scored his first-ever T20 hundred during the during the match between Guyana Amazon Warriors and St Kitts & Nevis Patriots at the 2020 Caribbean Premier League. He scored 100 in 45 balls.
