Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta played up his team’s defensive acumen ahead of their English Premier League game against Crystal Palace. The Gunners sit atop the league after nine games (19 pts) and have just conceded three goals thus far across 12 matches in all competitions. 

“I go back through the history of football in general and the teams that have the best defensive record, most of the time, you win the league. So the stronger we are in that foundation, the bigger the probability of winning games is,” said the Spanish coach.
