Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has agreed to take over the Brazilian national team, according to several Spanish media outlets on Monday. 

The 65-year-old Italian has one more year on his contract with the Spanish giants, but is treading rocky ground after a series of major losses. Real Madrid suffered an exit from the quarter-finals of the Champions League against Arsenal and then lost the Copa del Rey final to rivals Barcelona. Although they remain in the hunt to win La Liga, they trail league leaders Barcelona by four points with five games to go.
