Arne Slot’s Liverpool ended a four-game losing streak in the English Premier League as star forward Mohamed Salah notched up his 250th goal for the Reds in a 2-0 win over Aston Villa on Saturday.
Salah pounced on an error by Villa custodian Emiliano Martinez to open the scoring in first-half stoppage time before midfielder Ryan Gravenberch’s deflected effort (58th minute) secured a long-awaited victory that lifts the defending champions up to third in the table (18 points from 10 games).
