World Cup runners-up Croatia returned to a heroes' welcome as they flew into Zagreb yesterday. Zlatko Dalic's side were surprise finalists in Russia but were beaten 4-2 by France in Sunday's showpiece event in Moscow.

Croatia, who eliminated England in extra-time in their semi-final clash, may have lost but the squad were greeted by jubilant supporters as they arrived back home.
