The bitter dispute between Kylian Mbappe and his former club Paris Saint-Germain reached the French labour court on Monday for a tense hearing in which the France captain claimed he was due €263mn (Rs 2700cr), while PSG responded by demanding he pay them €440mn (Rs 4545cr).
Mbappe, who wasn’t present at the hearing, argued through his lawyers that PSG owes him that money because his fixed-term contract should be reclassified as a permanent one. Such a reclassification would trigger compensation for unfair dismissal, unpaid wages, bonuses, and severance.
