It is believed Ten Hag’s decision to remove Ronaldo from the squad for the Chelsea fixture has the full backing of the United chiefs, who are weighing up a decision on the player’s long-term future after the disciplinary issue. United will have to wait till January 1 the transfer window reopens before selling Ronaldo, whose huge salary could prove a stumbling block to potential buyers.
