Friday was a day that left Abhinav Bindra, India's only individual Olympic gold medallist and the flag bearer for Rio Games, feeling sad, but that was mixed with a tinge of pride and happiness.

Bindra is set to retire from competitive shooting after the Rio Games 2016 and will now be shifting abroad to finish his training for the Olympics.

The ace shooter today had his last ever training session at his home range in Chandigarh with his first ever coach Col Dhillon overseeing his preparations.

Having come full circle to the point where it all started must have brought back pleasant memories for the 33-year-old. It would also have made him sad to know that this may be the last time he would be training at the location.

Col JS Dhillon (retd) was Bindra's first ever shooting trainer. Bindra came to him at the age of 13 in 1995 and trained under him for five years on his way to a glorious career.
