The disciplinary panel, chaired by retired justice Dinesh Dayal, reduced the ban to a year after a supplementary affidavit was submitted by the custodian yesterday. The fresh affidavit was from a person named Anthony Kaithavalappil who had earlier submitted an affidavit stating that the party at which he smoked, was at his place in Mumbai on March 15 this year.u00a0
