The second Classic of the 2013-14 racing season, the Deltin Casinos Indian 2000 Guineas (Gr 1), features as the stellar attraction of the Sunday card.
Nine runners are in the fray, including one filly, Mariinsky, winner of the Indian 1000 Guineas last Sunday, whose connections have ambitiously pitched her as final entry.
Four of the nine runners —Alaindair, Murioi, Silver Arrow and Mariinsky — have more than average chance of landing the rich stakes of over Rs 8 million, of which the winner's take will be a cool Rs 4.8 million. I expect Alaindair to triumph over the classy Murioi and the vastly improved Silver Arrow.
First race at 1 pm.
