Balmohan Vidyamandir (Dadar) defeated JB Petit (Fort) 2-1 to enter the semi-finals of the girls' team championships in the Mumbai Schools Sports Association (MSSA) inter-school badminton tournament played at the Cricket Club of India's (CCI) badminton courts on Saturday.
Balmohan’s Shweta Harlekar won the first singles tie against JB Petit’s Arushi Maroo 21-19, 21-15. But, Bhakti Sohuni went down to the Fort team’s Rajvi Sampat 21-14, 19-21, 14-21 in a grueling tussle.
It was the Dadar team’s doubles pair of Krishaeli Mehta and Shanya Wagh who pulled out a close 21-8, 18-21, 21-14 win against Rajvi and Aarushi that helped them enter the last four stage.u00a0
