Bayern joined Bordeaux in progressing from Group A, while fellow former champions AC Milan and Real Madrid progressed from Group C after Marseille failed to win at home to the Spaniards.
Bayern goalkeeper Hans-Jorg Butt levelled from the penalty spot and Ivica Olic put the visitors in front seven minutes into the second half before late goals from Mario Gomez and Anatoliy Tymoschuk sealed the German side's progressionu00a0-- and perhaps saved coach Luis van Gaal's jobu00a0-- to leave Juventus with the consolation of a Europa League place.
Group A winners Bordeaux remained unbeaten with a fifth win from six games, Jussie scoring the only goal in the 1-0 win at Maccabi Haifa.
Milan progressed from Group C despite an unconvincing performance in the 1-1 draw at FC Zurich, as Real Madrid won 3-1 in Marseille. Milan Gajic's wonderful first-half free-kick was cancelled out by Ronaldinho's second-half penalty.
