Bolt eager to skip training and relax

Usain Bolt, fresh from his second successive triple gold haul at the Olympics, could be forgiven for giving off the vibe of someone pining to return to his Jamaican home for a well-deserved rest

Four years on from his podium-topping feats at the Beijing Olympics, Bolt set the London Games alight, swatting aside pretenders to blaze to victories in the 100m and 200m, and then anchor his team home in the 4x100m relay.

Ahead of his appearance in the 200m in today’s Diamond League meet in Zurich, Bolt said: “I’m counting the days until when I’ll be home. I’m not sure whether I will have much time to relax, though.

There will be some appearances. But I will be home, which is the most important thing. I will be with my friends and my family. I will have time to play video games, I will skip training. I will be enjoying just being me.”u00a0
