Shyam Habbu-trained Caruso, a winner on debut at Mumbai, shapes as a chance bet in the August Handicap, the feature event of Saturday's nine-race card.
The race is a handicap affair for three-year-old horses, and despite having to give weight all around, Caruso may be able to pull it off thanks to being the sole winner in a field of maidens. Silver Streak, the Dallas Todywalla-trained three-year-old who posted a sensational victory on this track last week, should be able to easily annex the Royal Princess Plate, and accordingly, attracts as the day's best betting proposition.
