With rain playing spoilsport on the first two days, Wasim Jaffer made a sporting declaration at 307-4 with an aim to get the three points from the first innings lead on the fourth and final day of the Group A Ranji Trophy Super League match at the Brabourne Stadium yesterday.

Behera who retired hurt when on 8 (with the team's score on 80-1) returned with the team struggling at 116-5 to deny the hosts maximum possible points.

The one-down batsman first added 68 runs for the sixth wicket with Pravanjan Mullick 50 (107b, 10x4) and then hung on with the tail as the visitors ended at 243-8 in 81 overs.
