World Cup on alternate days?

Going by the number of spectators in the stands, it could well be assumed that the World Cup is being played at the Dhyan Chand Stadium on alternate days.
On Monday, the stands were empty, after which they filled up again on Tuesday to witness Australia thump India 5-2. Then again on Wednesday the stands wore a deserted look. The crowd returned yesterday to watch the India-Spain game. That's taking the term partisan crowd to a different level.
Delhi's very own khau galli!
The famous Parathewaali Gully in old Delhi's Chandni Chowk is one of the best places to go for a quick bite by the roadside. Somewhat similar to Mumbai's Khau Gully, it is a narrow bylane lined up with small stalls on either side selling smoking hot parathas. Anil Sharma claims his Pandit Gaya Prasad Shiv Charan (PGPSC) stall has been around for over a century. "My great, great grandparents started this place way back in 1872 and this is the sixth generation that's running it today," he said.
PGPSC offers 25 varieties of parathas ranging from the usual aloo and mirchi ones to the extra-special kismis (raisins) and kela (banana) variants. The parathas are served with an unlimited quantity of accompaniments like chutney, brinjal vegetable, potato bhaji, etc. To say the meal is sumptuous would be an understatement!
Life in a Metro is much better
It's around an hour's drive from the Connaught Place to Delhi's Chandni Chowk and most autowallahs refuse to go given the atrocious traffic. However, the Delhi Metro service cuts the travel time to an amazing one-fourth. A brisk 10-minute journey in the air-conditioned underground service is in stark contrast to the road rage that one would have encountered otherwise. The services are more or less on time and there's a train every three minutes that ensures there is no pushing and shoving in the compartment.
