Paul di Resta yesterday hailed securing a point on his Formula One debut as "a mega result".
Di Resta initially finished 12th in Australian Grand Prix, only to be elevated to 10th after the race as Sauber duo Sergio Perez and Kamui Kobayashi were excluded from the classification after the FIA cited a technical infringement relating to the rear wing. Sauber have since lodged a statement of intention to appeal.
Di Resta will have to wait until after any hearing before he can officially claim to be the 59th driver in F1 history to score a point in his first race. "If the news is true then this is a mega result for me and the team," he said.
