Former prominent football and hockey player Menino Coutinho breathed his last on September 25 at his Borivli residence. He was 77.

Coutinho represented the Reserve Bank of India's formidable outfit in both football and hockey back in the mid '60s. He excelled as an inside forward, but was also a playmaker.
Some of his colleagues in the RBI squad included some top Maharashtra players. Coutinho leaves behind wife Cynthia, children Premellia, Pravin and Pramod.
