Olympic champion Usain Bolt and reigning world champion Tyson Gay cruised into the semi-finals of the men's 100m on Day One of the World Championships here on Saturday.
It was Bolt's teammate and former world record holder Asafa Powell, however, who set the pace wining his quarter-final in 9.95sec.
Bolt was beaten to second in his heat by training partner Daniel Bailey of Antigua, with both crossed the line in just over 10sec.
In the US camp, defending triple world sprint champion Gay cruise to the line inu00a0 9.98sec.
