Nikhil Ghadge of Matunga Gym rallied from 0-2 to shock India's junior No 4 Vishal Vaya 3-2 and storm into the quarter-finals of the Malabar Hill Club-BSAM All India Under-25 Snooker Challenge 3 yesterday.
After dropping the opening frame, Ghadge narrowly lost the second frame on the black. But he ignored the early setback and his opponent’s reputation to initiate a sensational recovery to set up a Last Eight clash with qualifier Anurag Giri of MP.
In another pre-quarter-final tie, state junior and sub- junior champion Ishpreet Singh Chadha rallied from 1-2 to beat Sumit Kataria.
