Sources at Games Village told MiD DAY that so far two dogs have been rescued from underneath the makeshift office.
"Strange voices were coming out from underneath the office. There could be more stray dogs under it. As it is a makeshift structure constructed on a mounted platform, the dogs entered the canopy from a small hole in the backside of the office," sources said.
The Mayor admitted that stray dogs were indeed a menace in the Village. "We have erected very high walls all around the village but the problem is being riverbed, the soil has eroded at several points resulting in small holes in the foundation. These animals enter the village from these points," he told MiD DAY.u00a0
