Gunners need reinforcements: Wenger

Arsene Wenger said that Arsenal are still hoping to sign a midfielder and a defender before the transfer window closes next week

Midfielder Alex Song completed a move to Barcelona yesterday, while Jack Wilshere will be out until October as he recovers from yet another injury setback.

Wenger told the club’s official website: “We are looking to bring one more midfielder in of course, and maybe one defender as well because we still feel we are short in some positions.”
