Lewis Hamilton revealed he had his reflexes to thank for avoiding a massive high-speed accident during yesterday's practice.
The 26-year-old McLaren driver said that he managed to correct the movement of his car after it hit a 'huge river' of water running across the spectacular, but dangerous, Spa-Francorchamps circuit. "I must have been doing 150 mph and I had a huge 'tank-slapper," Hamilton said.
"I am lucky I was awake to correct it or it would have been all four wheels, the front wing and the rear wing."
