Shubham sizzles for Rizvi
Skipper Shubham Mestry's century (140) helped Rizvi Springfield (Bandra) post a mammoth 414-8 against Vidya Mandir (Dahisar) when stumps were drawn at Parsee Gymkhana yesterday.

Shubham took the attack to the opposition and in the process, justified his captain's call to bat first on a good pitch. He was ably partnered by Abhinav Singh, who scored 80 before being caught by Ashwin Yadav off his own bowling.

The duo put on a 117-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Mayank Teotia scored a valuable 48 to add to Rizvi's tally, before being stumped by wicketkeeper Ayush Karaval. The Bandra school looked to bat the opposition out of the game. Off-spinner Swarnil Shinde was the pick of the bowlers for the Dahisar outfit scalping 3-54 in his 10 overs spell.
