Defending champion and men's top seed Mahesh Mangaonkar overcame second seed Ravi Dixit to clinch the men's crown for the third time in a row in the JSW 41st Bombay Gymkhana Maharashtra State Open Squash Championships.

India No 2 Mangaonkar endured a strong challenge from Tamil Nadu's Dixit to snatch a hard-fought 11-9, 11-9, 13-11 win in a championship round that lasted 37 minutes.
Dixit recovered from a 4-7 deficit to lead 8-7 in the opening game and fought hard in the second in a neck-and-neck battle. He ran Mangaonkar close in the third as well after surging to a 3-1 advantage, before Mangaonkar sealed victory on the third championship point, after earlier leading 10-9 and 11-10.
