India's Greco-Roman wrestlers got off to a poor start at the World Championships with all four yesterday losing in the first round. Yogesh (71kg), Gurpreet Singh (75kg), Ravinder Khatri (85kg) and Hardeep (98kg) crashed out of after meek defeats.

None got a chance of a repechage as all of their respective opponents lost later too. Yogesh went down to Japan's Takeshi Izumi 1-3, while Gurpreet lost 1-5 to Georgia's Mindia Tsulukidze. Khatri lost 0-8 to Hungary's Viktor Lorincz and Lithuania's Vilius Laurinaitis beat Hardeep 5-2.
