The Sahara Indian Sports Awards night saw Bollywood rubbing shoulders with the country's top sportspersons.
And Koena Mitra was more than happy to have her moments with them.
Mitra not only performed with Olympic bronze medal-winning boxer Vijender Singh, she also got Little Master Sunil Gavaskar to do a jig for her.
Gavaskar was sitting in the audience when Mitra and Vijender were swinging to 'Lakh Lakh Nakhre' and the actress requested Gavaskar to shake a leg.
"He was very sporting and immediately danced when I requested him to," Mitra said.
The Bengali actress took the stage on a bike wearing sexy sporting attire with biker gloves, kneecaps and high boots. Vijender also made his entry on a bike.
Apart from 'Lakh Lakh Nakhre', Koena performed to Dostana's 'Shut Up and Bounce', title song of 'Race' and ended the performance with a Punjabi number as Vijender is from Punjab.
"Vijender is a good dancer. He was very cool and didn't suffer from stage fright at all," Mitra said, stressing that this show was quite different from the usual award shows.
"The energy here was fantastic. The crowd was cheering for everyone from the performers to the dancers to the host."
