Mahak Jain of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh's Siddharth Vishwakarma yesterday claimed the women's and men's singles titles respectively in the AITA Ranking JVPG Anirudh Desai All-India Open tennis tournament. Top seed Jain fought hard to smother the challenge from sixth seed Humera Shaikh of Telangana and secure a 7-5, 6-0 triumph.

In the men's final, Vishwakarma romped to a 6-2, 6-4 win over Andhra Pradesh's Prenamallur Vignesh. Both Jain and Vishwakarma received trophies and Rs 2 lakh each. Meanwhile, Anirudh Chandrasekar of Telangana and Peranamallur Vighnesh overcame the Tamil Nadu pair of Manish Sureshkumar and Prithvi Sekhar in a long-drawn men's doubles final.
